Health and Safety Policy

Global Trust Bank is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, contractors, visitors, and members of the public who may be affected by its activities. Risk Assessments

Facilities Management conducts formal risk assessments for all GTB premises on an annual basis, or more frequently where significant changes occur (e.g., refurbishment, change of use). Risk assessments cover:

  • Fire safety
  • Electrical safety
  • Manual handling
  • Display screen equipment (DSE)
  • Slips, trips, and falls
  • Lone working
  • Workplace stress

All staff are required to complete a DSE self-assessment upon joining the Bank and annually thereafter. This is available on the HR Self-Service portal under Health & Safety > DSE Assessment.

Incident Reporting

All workplace incidents, accidents, near-misses, and hazardous conditions must be reported immediately using the SafeReport system, accessible via the intranet under Facilities > SafeReport. Serious injuries or dangerous occurrences must also be reported to the Director of Facilities within one hour. In the UK, reportable incidents are notified to the Health and Safety Executive under RIDDOR regulations.

Fire Safety and Evacuation

Fire drills are conducted at least twice per year at each office location. The evacuation procedure is as follows:

  1. Upon hearing the fire alarm (continuous tone), leave the building immediately via the nearest emergency exit.
  2. Do not use lifts.
  3. Proceed to the designated fire assembly point (London HQ: Finsbury Circus Gardens).
  4. Report to your Floor Warden for headcount.
  5. Do not re-enter the building until the "All Clear" is given by the Fire Marshal.

First Aid

Trained first aiders are stationed on every occupied floor. First aid kits are located in clearly marked cabinets near lift lobbies. Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are located on the Ground Floor (Reception), Floor 4 (Wellness Centre), Floor 15 (Conference Centre), and Floor 25 (Executive Floor). In a medical emergency, call extension 9999 (internal emergency line) or dial 999 (external).

Training

All new joiners must complete the mandatory Health and Safety Induction e-learning module within their first week. Annual refresher training is mandatory for all staff. Fire Wardens and First Aiders receive additional specialist training. Training records are maintained in the Learning Management System (LMS).
