Organisational Structure Overview

Global Trust Bank (GTB) operates as a publicly listed international banking institution headquartered in London, United Kingdom. The Bank is structured around four core business divisions and five support functions, all reporting to the Group Chief Executive Officer through a clearly defined governance framework.

Support Functions

  • Risk Management — Oversees credit, market, operational, and regulatory risk across all divisions.
  • Finance & Treasury — Responsible for financial reporting, capital management, and liquidity oversight.
  • Technology & Operations — Manages the Bank's technology infrastructure, digital platforms, and operational processes.
  • Human Resources — Covers talent acquisition, employee relations, learning and development, and compensation.
  • Legal & Compliance — Ensures adherence to regulatory requirements, manages legal affairs, and oversees the compliance framework.

Governance Framework

The Board of Directors sits at the apex of the governance structure, supported by five Board Committees:

  2. Risk Committee
  3. Remuneration Committee
  4. Nomination Committee
  5. Technology & Transformation Committee

Each core business division operates with a Divisional Executive Committee, which reports to the Group Executive Committee (GEC). The GEC meets fortnightly and is chaired by the Group CEO, Sir Richard Haldane.

Regional Structure

Global Trust Bank maintains a regional management overlay to ensure local regulatory compliance and market responsiveness. The five regions are:

  • UK & Ireland — Managed from London
  • Europe — Managed from Frankfurt
  • Americas — Managed from New York
  • Middle East & Africa — Managed from Dubai
  • Asia-Pacific — Managed from Singapore

Regional CEOs hold dual reporting lines to the Group CEO and to the relevant Divisional Managing Directors, ensuring alignment between global strategy and local execution.
