Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)

Global Bank provides a comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) to all employees and their immediate family members. The EAP is a confidential, independent service designed to help you manage personal and professional challenges that may affect your wellbeing, health, or performance at work.

Service Provider

The EAP is provided by ComPsych GuidanceResources, a leading global provider of employee assistance and behavioural health services. All interactions with ComPsych are strictly confidential. Global Bank does not receive any information about individual employees who use the service; only anonymised, aggregated usage data is shared for programme evaluation purposes.

Who Can Use the EAP

  • All Global Bank employees, regardless of grade, contract type, or length of service.
  • Immediate family members living in the same household (spouse/partner and dependent children aged 16+).
  • The EAP is available from your first day of employment and continues for 30 days after your last working day.

Common Reasons to Contact the EAP

The EAP can help with a wide range of issues, including but not limited to:

  • Mental health: Stress, anxiety, depression, burnout, bereavement, and trauma.
  • Relationship issues: Relationship difficulties, separation, divorce, and family conflict.
  • Work-related challenges: Workplace conflict, bullying, career concerns, and work-life balance.
  • Substance misuse: Alcohol and drug concerns.
  • Financial difficulties: Debt, cost of living pressures, and financial planning.
  • Legal concerns: Personal legal queries (not related to employment disputes with the bank).

Confidentiality

The EAP operates under strict confidentiality protocols. Information shared with EAP counsellors will not be disclosed to Global Bank, your line manager, or any other party without your explicit written consent. The only exceptions are where there is an imminent risk of harm to yourself or others, or where disclosure is required by law.

Manager Guidance

If you are a line manager concerned about a team member's wellbeing, you may contact the EAP Manager Support line for confidential guidance on how to approach the situation. You may also suggest the EAP to an employee, but referral is always voluntary.
